I just finished reading "No Way Out" and I can't get over how much I loved the book. It was sad for Marcus to go though, probably because I'm also a musician. I was thinking about trying to compose my interpretation of Marcus's song from his uncle. What are some suggestions that you have for the song? I was thinking of making it melancholy in the begining, but then lightening up a little as the song went on. I'm still in the brainstorming stage, so any ideas would be great.

boreddragon, I love this idea! Definitely melancholy to start -- maybe simple melody and then adding backing chords slowly so it has a nice swell?

Thank you for your reply. I'll be sure to do the "swelling" idea you had in mind. I found a perfect song that I want to base my song on as well. I'll post my progress after a few days.
